You can alter the speed to suit your ability. Some sections are easy and I breeze through them and others I'm having difficulty with so Rocksmith repeats that individual section over and over again until you've perfected it. The main advantages that Rocksmith has over these two is that it is far more interactive. I've found it just as easy to learn using Rocksmith as I did with tabs and YouTube videos. The ones I've played encourage you to learn new chords while making you more dexterous.I'm learning Artic Monkeys "R U Mine". One problem is that the game seems to not to be able to calibrate my guitar, which I'll try to try fix tonight. I've played them before but I didn't know the chord name so Rocksmith is great in the sense that I'm learning the names of chords pretty quickly. Saying that, over half the chords I've encountered I did not recognize (e.g. I've played acoustic and I can confidently play any chord put in front of me (B Chord, F Chord etc.). I'd put myself in the bracket of 'novice'. Came a bit dented but at the end of the day everything was in working order. Also if you are not new to guitar or are like me already pretty established on guitar then this game doesn’t really offer us a lot despite it saying it does! The arcade games stink! But that’s because all the diagrams are backwards/ upside down. If you don’t have a sound bar or another way of routing your Xbox sound then do not buy this unless you are willing to also buy a sound bar etc. It’s seems like such a cool game too! You need to set your sound up through a sound bar. ITS RIDICULOUS!!! From the first strum I was instantly deflated. However, this doesnt matter anyway because of the GOD DAMN SOUND LAG!!!!!! I swear it’s close to a second of sound lag. This wouldn’t be too bad as if you posses the smallest bit of musicality in you, you will be able to hear when to play the note. You can’t see the right timing when to play the notes due to the strange viewing angle you get of the fretboard. I thought it might be fun to put my guitar skills to use in a video game rather than just playing pubg and fortnite! But I’m glad I never learned using this! The chord boxes are all backwards/upside down.
I bought this more out of boredom than a need for it.
